Courses and Question Bank for Obstetric and Gynaecology Interviews
All applicants will make one application and be interviews in a single centre from 2017 onwards.
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Dates: All interviews to take place week commencing Monday 23 January 2017
Applicants will be able to preference any of the available posts, and posts will be offered based on ranking after interview.
While posts in England, Scotland and Wales will be included, Northern Ireland will be running a separate process.
In 2017 there the college will also be piloting the use of a Specialty Recruitment Assessment (SRA) as part of the O&G ST1 recruitment process. The SRA will take place early in 2017 for those applicants that pass longlisting. The SRA is currently used in GP and radiology selection and comprises a written situational judgment test.
Your performance in each station will be scored out of 40 using a structured scoring system. The scores from each station will be combined to give an overall score out of 120. Your ranking will be based on your overall score against all other candidates.
After completion of the interview you will receive both an overall score out of 120 and a break down of individual score out of 40 for each station via the ORIEL website. You will be informed of your rank compared with other candidates and an offer will be made if your rank is sufficient.
